John Alexander is the partial basis the character played by George Clooney in the movie Men Who Stare at Goats. He has been involved in multiple investigations into strange phenomena – withing the military, with privately funded groups, and on his own. He was involved in the military psychic warfare program, and wrote the first article in a military journal on the subject. He taught genuine paranormal “macro PK” metal bending for the military.
The recent revelation of the Pentagon's once secret UFO study group - know as the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program - gives a topical basic for Alexander's presentation.
While in the military Alexander formed an ad hoc inter-agency group to study UFOs. The study group had parallels with the Pentagon group including similarly ambiguous name – The Advanced Theoretical Physics group.
Alexander also has a shared background with aspects of the pentagon group, in particular an association with aerospace entrepreneur Robert Bigelow – who is reported to have UFO metal fragments stored in his Las Vegas company headquarters. Alexander worked with Bigelow's investigative group National Institute for Discovery Science.
Alexander's investigations, findings, and views are sure to confuse “true believers” and Skeptics alike.
His UFO investigations are summarized in his book UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies, and Realities (St. Martin’s Press, 2011). His recently published Reality Denied: Firsthand Experience with Things That Can't Happen - But Did details his lifelong exploration and firsthand experiences with of supposedly impossible phenomena.
Alexander will be giving a brief presentation followed by an questions and answer session. His books will be available for purchase and signing.
The event takes place on Thursday February 8th at 7:30 pm at The Theatre of Magic, located inside The Boulevard Mall (3528 S Maryland Pkwy,Las Vegas 89169) directly across from SeaQuest Interactive Aquarium.
This event is free and open to the public
